REMEDIAL MASSAGE
What is a remedial massage?
Remedial massage is the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management.
Benefits of remedial massage
A remedial massage helps relieve pain and pathology by reducing tension in the muscles. It also contributes to better posture and joint alignment, increased blood flow as well breaking down scar tissue. Stimulated the lymphatic system as well as it reduces the level of stress hormones.
Does the remedial massage hurt?
It is important to communicate to the therapist when things hurt and if any soreness or pain you experience is outside your comfort range. There is sometimes some stiffness but it should subside within a day or so.
When should you have a remedial massage?
Remedial massages are the key to help your body recover to its normal condition post injury by reducing pain and dysfunction while elevating strength and body alignment.
